B.O.S.S. (BEAUTY OF STEM SERIES)
Girls Pursuing Science (GPS) is an award-winning STEM enrichment program that engages girls in chemistry, applied mathematics and entrepreneurship during their primary years. Girls make their own bath and body products while learning chemistry, math, and business development concepts. The GPS curriculum is a unique blend of chemistry, cosmetics, creativity, and commerce.
GPS is dedicated to empowering girls and building social and emotional learning skills through exciting, engaging, hands-on projects that includes creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.

GPS’s STEM Saturday is a community based program that is staffed to serve up to 35 girls each session. Sessions are monthly, i.e. every 2nd Saturday of the month . The program will meet from 9 to 12 PM. Girls in grades 5th – 12th will learn how to develop their own cosmetic line, invent a product, develop a business plan, and go to market strategy. Late Spring 2020, selected participants will pitch their business idea to a panel of judges to win cash, mentorships, and prizes to bring their business to fruition.

There are no prerequisites for the Beauty of STEM Series (BOSS Saturday workshops). Girls catch on easily with creative, hands-on curriculum that makes science and math relevant.
